Pub downstairs is probably the best kept secret in Hastings. Great music, and a warm welcome. If I lived here this would be my local. Spent 4 days in the kingsized room. I don’t usually stay in pubs, especially when I am traveling alone as I prefer a hotel. My needs were for a proper desk space as I was working remotely from my room all week while my son visited family nearby. I needed space to unpack and work without having to perch on the edge of the bed - but also wanted the comfort of a bath and easy access to the town. Most other hotel rooms in the town are a bit too small for my needs or don’t come with a proper bath. Most of the apartments are either at the far end of the old town or in areas that I wouldn’t have felt comfortable walking alone at night. Room was very clean and comfortable. Room was ready early and check in friendly. It’s more of a guest house than a hotel or B&B. No breakfast available but I don’t eat it anyway so that suited me. Full sized fridge in the room and close proximity to supermarket so I bought snacks and fresh milk. Decent coffee and tea in the room and full sized kettle. Bed was very comfy and the room is quiet - although read on for more details. Pub downstairs was no bother and served decent alcohol free beer on draught (plus real beer of course) Menu looked good but I ate in various places across the town. It’s easily walkable to St Leonard’s and the Old Town. Would recommend for someone with similar needs to mine. It’s a period building so plenty of character. That means it’s a bit creaky and has a narrow staircase to the room. Room was large and has 4 large sash windows, so could sometimes be cold. The heating was good but it’s a large room. It’s on a busy road, so there is some road noise. Not a lot but you could feel the larger lorries. From 6am there were moments when I thought I was experiencing an earthquake. Nothing too serious though and not enough for me to mark them down.

A good location. Friendly, helpful staff. Tea and coffee provided. Linen and towels were excellent quality. Room and bathroom were very clean and tastefully decorated. The bed is a double and comfortable. We parked at the multi-level parking nearby. It’s £6.50 for 6 hours but if you park in the afternoon or evening then get your car the next morning it’s £13. The restaurant has specials most nights. We had the steak for 2 at £35 including a bottle of house wine. It was good value. They are now offering breakfast for an additional cost - we couldn’t find a menu or price - but we didn’t sample it.

Perfect location for absolutely everything in Hastings! Absolutely amazing, friendly and such helpful people, especially Heather, was an absolute pleasure to stay there. Lovely room, so clean and absolutely everything we wanted and more. Such good value and the breakfast was literally out of this world and SO cheap! Smoked salmon and scrambled eggs to die for! The band on Sunday afternoon, Ska-per were better entertainment than we'd gone to Hastings for! Best weekend in the best hotel. Cannot recommend Town House Rooms highly enough 😊😊😊

The town house rooms staff were approachable, helpful and friendly. The rooms are spacious and the furniture is art deco style comfy. The food there is very good and competitively priced. We stay there often as it feels like a home from home in a central location to the sea and town. Fridays jazz, soul and blues live music is intimate with impressive musicians and singers. We held our wedding lunch there because we loved it so much. Real good, real people real music. Thank you all so much. Sarah and Steve.

We checked in easily in the restaurant next door and they checked we were ok with the front door entry code. The room was excellent - lovely and warm even though it was cold and windy outside and the room does not have double glazing. The room was tastefully decorated and well lit. There was spare tea and coffee in the hall outside which was appreciated. The room was in a perfect location for the town centre - we cut through the car park opposite to the shopping centre to avoid the rain and wind.
